How it works

When a shopper removes a product from a Wysh wishlist, Shopify Flow sends a wishlist_item_removed custom event to Ometria immediately. The request uses the customer's email address as the identity and the item's removed time as the event timestamp.

The workflow sends no product or wishlist properties by default.

Before you start

  • Install and configure Wysh and Shopify Flow.
  • Prepare an Ometria API key that can use the push endpoint.
  • Confirm the wishlist_item_removed custom event with your Ometria team.
  • Use a test customer with an email address.

Install the workflow

  1. Download the ZIP and extract wysh_ometria_wishlist_item_removed.flow.
  2. In Shopify Flow, choose Import workflow.
  3. Select the extracted .flow file.
  4. Review every trigger, condition and action.
  5. Save the workflow without switching it on.

Connect Ometria

  1. Open the Send HTTP request action.
  2. Keep the endpoint as https://api.ometria.com/v2/push and the request method as POST.
  3. Enter your Ometria API key in the blank X-Ometria-Auth header.
  4. Keep Content-Type and Accept set to application/json.

Keep the key private: use a key intended for this store and never paste it into support tickets or screenshots.

Review the event

Confirm that wishlist_item_removed is registered as the matching custom event in Ometria. The supplied request identifies the customer by email and sends the event timestamp.

The downloaded workflow intentionally starts with an empty properties object. Add only the properties agreed with your Ometria team, using variables available in Shopify Flow, then map those properties in Ometria.

Enable and test

  1. Add a product to a test customer's Wysh wishlist, then remove it.
  2. Check that Shopify Flow completes the HTTP request without an error.
  3. Confirm that one wishlist_item_removed event reaches the correct Ometria profile with the item's removed time.
  4. Review any properties you added, then enable the workflow when the test passes.

Troubleshooting

  • Ometria returns an authentication error: confirm the X-Ometria-Auth value and that the key can use the push endpoint.
  • No event appears: check the event type, customer email and recent Shopify Flow run history.
  • Expected details are missing: the template ships with an empty properties object. Add and map the required fields before activation.
  • Duplicate events: confirm that only one copy of the workflow is enabled.
