A wishlist is a great indication that someone wants to buy something. They might be waiting for payday, holding off for a discount, or just not quite ready to check out.
Whatever the reason, they've already found something they like, and for retailers, that's an opportunity worth making the most of.
To help merchants turn more of that interest into sales, we've been busy at VS Labs adding new functionality to Wysh - our wishlist app for Shopify and Shopify POS. Here's what we've been working on.
Giving shoppers a little nudge
Sometimes, all it takes is a little reminder to rack up sales. Our new on-site wishlist nudges can prompt shoppers about products they've previously saved while they're browsing your store, bringing those items back to their attention without requiring them to open their wishlist.
We've also introduced price drop notifications, so shoppers can find out when something they've saved becomes cheaper. It's a useful way to encourage customers back to your store, particularly when they're waiting for the right price.
And for those who prefer to keep an eye on their wishlist themselves, we've added sale badges and sorting. Discounted products can now be highlighted and brought to the top of the list, making it much easier to spot a bargain.
Saved, sorted, sold
We've made a few improvements to help customers move between saving products and buying them.
One of the biggest is our new wishlist upsell block, which brings saved items into the cart page or cart drawer. That means shoppers can add something they've previously saved to their order without having to leave their cart.
There's also a new Save for Later option, allowing customers to save the contents of their cart and come back to them another time. Handy for anyone who's still deciding, or planning a bigger purchase.
We've added a quantity picker to wishlist pages too, so shoppers can adjust how many of each product they want before adding them to their basket.
And if customers use multiple wishlists, our new centred list picker makes it easier to choose where each saved product should go.
Trade upgrade
Wishlists aren't just for shoppers putting together ideas for big days such as Christmas. They're also useful for wholesale customers, trade buyers and anyone planning a larger order.
With our new Request a Quote functionality, customers can now send an enquiry covering everything on their wishlist in one go.
Instead of requesting prices for individual items, they can build a list of what they need and submit it as a single quote request. We've also made sure the option only appears when it's available, avoiding unnecessary confusion.
We've introduced a new setting to hide prices on wishlist pages, too. That gives B2B merchants more flexibility when working with customers who have negotiated pricing or need to request a quote before placing an order.
More in store
This latest round of updates is part of our ongoing work to make the Wysh app even more useful for Shopify retailers and their customers.
Of course, adding new features is only one part of the job. Wysh is developed and maintained by the experienced VS Labs engineering team, with established security practices, regular updates and real people on hand to provide support.
So whether you're looking to bring shoppers back to saved products, encourage a few extra additions to their basket or support more involved B2B purchases, there's plenty of new functionality to explore.
As a Black Friday bonus, we’re also offering 15% off the first three months of any new paid subscription taken, as long as you sign up before 30 November 2026. Just subscribe at the usual price, and we'll apply the discount before you're billed.
