The most wonderful time of the year is almost here, and while retailers are busy planning campaigns, ordering stock and getting stores ready for the seasonal rush, we’ve also been prepping for peak trading.
In the last few weeks, we've rolled out a huge range of updates across our entire Shopify app suite, introducing new features and improving existing functionality in the run up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Covering everything from connecting online and in-store campaigns to making delivery promises clearer, here's what we've been working on to help retailers make the most of the golden quarter.
Capture early intent with Wysh
In anticipation of Black Friday, a huge proportion of shoppers are researching and comparing products while waiting for offers to land. That means many aren’t ready to buy straight away, even if they find items they love.
To help retailers capture that interest and turn it into purchases, we've introduced several updates to Wysh, our unified wishlist app for Shopify storefronts and POS.
As well as enabling shoppers to curate and share as many wishlists as they like, Wysh now includes a new Save Basket feature. This lets shoppers store the contents of their cart and return to them later. We've also introduced the ability to add an entire wishlist to cart, alongside a variant dropdown that makes it easier to select the right product options before purchasing.
Other improvements include clearer wishlist layouts, more intuitive sharing and the ability to see when products were added to a wishlist, both online and through Shopify POS.
Combined, these updates give shoppers more flexibility over when and how they buy, while helping retailers hold onto valuable purchase intent during the busiest shopping period of the year.
Boost delivery confidence with Zonal
As Christmas approaches, shoppers want reassurance that their purchases will arrive well in time for the big day, making delivery a key consideration for retailers.
To help out, we've made several improvements to Zonal, our Shopify shipping rules app, enabling merchants to more easily manage and communicate delivery options.
New named-day delivery functionality gives customers greater choice over when their orders arrive, while a delivery countdown timer helps communicate upcoming cut-off times.
Delivery dates can now also be included in order confirmation emails, giving shoppers a useful reminder of when to expect their purchases.
For merchants, we’ve introduced a shipping rate simulator, allowing them to check how rates will appear before customers reach checkout. There's also a new resync control for refreshing shipping configurations without contacting support.
Additional improvements to shipping rate calculations, validation and Shopify connectivity help keep everything working as expected when order volumes increase.
Make it personal with Blueprint
Unsurprisingly, demand for personalised products spikes during Q4, as shoppers look for something a little more special for their loved ones. To help retailers prepare for the rush, we've made several improvements to Blueprint, our product configuration app for Shopify, making customisation easier for both merchants and shoppers.
New pre-built template logic helps retailers create more sophisticated product customisers without starting from scratch. This means less time spent configuring product options and conditional rules, making it quicker and easier to get personalised products ready for the festive shopping season.
We've also introduced placeholder text in input fields, giving shoppers clearer guidance when entering personalisation details, whether that's a name, message or engraving.
Get more from every order with Impulse
Peak trading is the perfect time to increase average basket values, so we've introduced new functionality to Impulse - our upselling app for Shopify storefronts and POS.
With new collection-based upsell triggers, merchants can now create upsell rules that apply whenever products from selected collections are added to a cart, rather than setting up recommendations against individual products.
This makes it quicker and easier to build targeted upsell campaigns around Black Friday promotions, gifting ranges and other seasonal collections, without having to configure every product individually.
And because the functionality works across both Shopify storefronts and POS, retailers can offer relevant recommendations whether customers are shopping online or in-store.
Bring campaigns to the shop floor with Broadcast
Black Friday isn't just about online sales. For retailers with physical stores, keeping in-store promotions fresh and engaging is just as important.
Broadcast, our digital signage app, helps merchants manage content across both their online and in-store screens, using live product and stock info to keep displays accurate and up to date.
But we've now added a whole new dimension, with video playback with sound. That means retailers can use audio-enabled product demonstrations, promotional videos and seasonal campaign content to grab shoppers' attention, showcase their products in more detail and create a more engaging in-store experience.
And with everything managed centrally through Shopify, it's easy to keep messaging consistent across multiple screens and store locations, even during the busiest trading periods.
Make every campaign count with QuiQR
QuiQR section updated 20 October 2026.
Connect packaging, window posters, shelf signs and printed offers to Shopify products, bundles, carts and checkout with QuiQR Codes. Dynamic destinations can change without replacing the printed QR, as long as the new route still matches the promise on the artwork.
Core now brings bulk QR downloads and saved style templates together with bulk product QR creation, custom logos, UTM parameters and discounted bundles. Prepare larger print runs and reuse a consistent QR design across campaigns.
Premier adds AI image generation in QR Design Studio. Create campaign artwork from a prompt, add optional reference images and position your QR code over the result. You can use your own background too. The generation allowance is shown in Design Studio.
Premier also adds attributed revenue reporting, order tagging and scan and revenue CSV exports, alongside automatic QR creation for new active products and Shopify Flow triggers for published or scanned codes. Use attributed revenue to understand the orders linked to QR activity, without treating it as proof of additional sales caused by the campaign.

Keep image SEO on track with SmartAlt
With tonnes of new products, collections and campaign imagery being added ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, keeping image alt text up to date can fall by the wayside.
SmartAlt, our AI-powered alt text generator for Shopify, helps retailers tackle this by automatically generating keyword-aware descriptions for product images, improving accessibility and supporting SEO.
To make the process even more reliable during busy trading periods, we've rolled out several improvements to how the app handles bulk image processing.
SmartAlt now manages failed generation jobs and retries more effectively, while problematic images can be skipped without bringing an entire batch to a halt. We've also updated how the app handles larger image files, helping retailers process their catalogues with fewer interruptions.
A little extra polish for peak
We've not forgotten the rest of the app suite, either. Seasonly is ready to add a festive touch to Shopify storefronts, Cookease helps retailers keep cookie consent under control, and Expose makes sure product data is in good shape for search engines and AI-powered discovery.
All three have received updates in recent weeks, alongside wider security, compatibility and performance improvements across the suite. It's all part of making sure our apps are in great shape for the busiest shopping season of the year.

With Black Friday just around the corner, we're excited to see the impact of this latest round of improvements for the 4,000+ retailers already using our apps.
