How it works
This workflow listens for a new wishlist created in Wysh and sends the shopper and wishlist details to Klaviyo immediately.
The default Klaviyo event is New wishlist created. It includes the customer email, first name and last name, plus WishlistName and WishlistID.
Before you start
- Install Shopify Flow, Wysh and Klaviyo.
- Connect Klaviyo to Shopify Flow.
- Keep your Klaviyo public API key to hand. The downloaded workflow leaves this field blank.
Install the workflow
- Download the ZIP and extract
wysh_klaviyo_wishlist_created.flow. - In Shopify Flow, choose Import workflow.
- Select the extracted
.flowfile. - Open the Klaviyo action and add your public API key.
- Review the event name and mapped fields, then save without switching the workflow on.
Customise the workflow
Keep the default event name or change it to match your Klaviyo naming convention. If you rename it, use the same name in any Klaviyo flow or segment that depends on it.
You can add more properties in the Klaviyo action, but keep the customer email mapping because Klaviyo uses it to identify the profile.
Enable and test
- Use a test customer with an email address.
- In Wysh, create a list using Create New List from My Wishlist or My Lists.
- Check that the
New wishlist createdevent appears on the Klaviyo profile with the correct wishlist name and ID. - Turn the workflow on only after the test succeeds.
Use a test profile before connecting the event to a live Klaviyo campaign.
Use the event in Klaviyo
Use the event to trigger a welcome or nurture flow for wishlist users, build customer segments, or report on wishlist creation. The wishlist name and ID can be used in filters and message personalisation.
Troubleshooting
- No event: confirm the public API key, Flow connection and customer email address.
- Wrong event name: check the Klaviyo action and any dependent flow or segment.
- Missing wishlist details: create a fresh test list and inspect the Flow run history.
