A physical display can make a group of products look like one clear offer. The problem comes after the customer scans: sending them to a collection still leaves them to find every item, add each one and remember the discount.
A bundle QR code removes those extra steps. With QuiQR Core, one scan can add several selected products to the Shopify cart and apply a discount. It gives the customer a ready-to-buy set while keeping the merchant's products and checkout inside Shopify.
What is a bundle QR code?
In QuiQR, a bundle QR code is an action attached to a printed code. When the customer scans it, the selected products are added to the cart and the configured discount is applied.
This is useful when the physical presentation already tells a bundle story:
- a gift set displayed at a farmers' market;
- a complete skincare routine on product packaging;
- a candle, holder and accessory on a retail table;
- a recipe card linked to the required ingredients;
- a complete-the-look display in a larger store; or
- a seasonal set promoted through a catalogue or direct-mail campaign.
The customer sees the products together in the real world and gets a shorter route to buying the same set online.
Why not send the scan to a collection?
A collection is useful when the customer should browse and choose. It is less effective when the promotion is for a specific set.
Sending a customer to a collection can create several decisions: which products are included, which variants to select and how the offer is applied. A bundle action is more direct because the merchant defines the products and discount before the code is printed.
That does not make every QR code a bundle opportunity. If choice is part of the proposition, a product or collection destination may still be better. Use a bundle when the set itself is the offer.
How to plan the bundle
Choose products that belong together
The products should make sense as a set without a long explanation. Complementary products, starter kits, gift selections and complete-the-look offers are stronger than an arbitrary group created only to support a discount.
Keep the printed promise specific
The sign or packaging should explain what the shopper gets. Show the included products and the saving clearly enough that the customer understands the offer before scanning.
If the discount changes later, make sure the printed wording is still accurate. The QR destination can be updated, but the words already printed beside it cannot.
Check products, variants and availability
Test the complete journey before printing. Confirm that the correct products and variants enter the cart, that the discount applies as expected and that the offer still works on a mobile checkout.
Repeat that check when products are replaced, discounts expire or availability changes.
Place the code where the decision happens
At a market or pop-up, that might be a counter card beside the set. In a larger retail environment, it could be a shelf sign, window display or catalogue. On packaging, it may sit alongside a “shop the set” instruction.
The placement should connect the code to the products. A customer should not have to guess which offer the scan will open.
Use the same idea at different scales
The mechanics work for a seller preparing one countertop promotion and for a retailer producing a larger campaign.
For a small merchant, the benefit is speed: present a set, print one card and give customers a simple mobile route to the full offer.
For a larger retailer, the benefit is consistency. The same bundle action can support controlled campaign artwork across packaging, stores or print, while dynamic destination management reduces the need to replace the code if the route changes.
Core also includes bulk product QR-code generation for wider catalogue, shelf-label and packaging requirements. That is separate from the bundle action, but useful when a campaign needs both set-level and individual-product codes.
Measure scans without overstating the result
QuiQR shows total scans and the five most-scanned codes. Core supports UTM parameters for analysis in the merchant's chosen analytics platform.
A scan shows that somebody engaged with the placement; it is not the same as an order. QuiQR does not report revenue or conversions itself. Use consistent UTM parameters and the store's analytics setup when the commercial result of the campaign needs to be assessed.
Useful comparisons include:
- scans by placement or store;
- scans from packaging versus counter cards;
- different campaign periods; and
- individual-product codes versus the bundle offer.
Avoid changing several parts of the campaign at once if you want to understand what affected the result.
Keep the printed campaign useful
Bundle promotions do not stand still. Products sell out, ranges change and seasonal offers end. A dynamic QR code gives the merchant the option to change its destination without generating a new code or replacing the original artwork.
