Unlimited Shopify wishlist actions flowing from a saved product

Wishlist apps often advertise a low starting price, but the way usage is measured matters just as much as the monthly fee.

Some apps count every save, edit, removal or share as a separate action. Others base their plans on customers, orders or the number of wishlists created. Those models can behave very differently when traffic rises.

Understand what the limit counts

A wishlist action is something a shopper does within an existing list, such as saving a product, changing a selected variant, removing an item or sharing the list.

A wishlist creation is the creation of a new list. One wishlist can contain many products and generate many actions over time, so the two measures should not be treated as interchangeable.

Before choosing an app, check the definition behind each allowance and what happens when it is reached. Our Shopify wishlist app comparison covers the other limits and features worth reviewing.

Why action caps can make costs harder to predict

Action volume can change quickly during a campaign, product launch or seasonal trading period. A shopper may edit the same list several times before buying, while sharing can introduce more people and more activity.

That does not mean every action-based plan is unsuitable. It does mean merchants should model the likely cost using real customer behaviour rather than the starting price alone.

How Wysh pricing works

Wysh separates wishlist actions from wishlist creations. Shoppers can save, edit, remove and share items without an action cap. The plan allowance is based on total wishlist creations over the lifetime of the store.

  • Free — $0/month: 50 lifetime wishlist creations.
  • Core — $10/month: 5,000 lifetime wishlist creations.
  • Premier — $25/month: 25,000 lifetime wishlist creations.
  • Ultimate — $100/month: unlimited wishlist creations.

Every plan includes unlimited wishlist actions. The plans also differ in areas such as Shopify POS locations and advanced access, so use the current Wysh pricing table when making a final decision.

Choose the plan around the customer journey

Start with the way shoppers are likely to use the feature:

  • Will most people create one list or organise products across several lists?
  • Will guest shoppers and signed-in customers both be able to save products?
  • How often are lists likely to be edited or shared?
  • Does the store need Shopify POS, migration support or API access?
  • How will the team measure whether wishlist activity contributes to purchases?

The useful question is not simply how many saves an app records. It is whether shoppers return to their products and whether the merchant can connect wishlist activity to sales.

Moving from another wishlist app

Historical wishlist data can be valuable, but migration depends on the source app and the data it makes available. Confirm the export format and migration route before uninstalling the existing app.

The Wysh team can review the available data and help plan the move. Testing the migrated lists on a development theme first reduces the risk of disrupting the live customer journey.

Test before you commit

Use the free plan to test saving, returning, sharing and adding products to the basket. Check the experience on desktop and mobile, and test the main customer-account journey before choosing a paid tier.
